Publication Awards
Publication awards are given to individual ARC Finalists who have been selected by cooperating magazines to have an article on them and their work featured in an upcoming issue. This year we have three magazines participating: Fine Art Connoisseur serves art collectors and enthusiasts with innovative articles about representational paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints. The magazine has developed a particularly strong reputation for its editorial coverage of realism, a field of artistic excellence generally overlooked by other periodicals. PleinAir Magazine focuses on painting from nature out-of-doors, en plein air, and painting from life, together representing the foundation of all painting throughout the history of art. Today tens of thousands of artists and collectors have joined a new plein air movement, that can be followed though this publication. Collection Magazine, founded in 1993, has published 252 monthly issues and has the highest reputation in art collection and art marketing in China. Collection Magazine was awarded China's most influential journal in 60 years and was three times nominated for the "National Journal Award".

Oil Painters of America
Oil Painters of America is a not-for-profit organization representing more than 4,000 artists throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Founded in 1991, OPA is dedicated to preserving and promoting excellence in representational art. The mission of OPA is to advance the cause of traditional, representational fine art by providing a forum in which artists can display their art in regional and national competitions. In addition, the organization is committed to providing educational opportunities to its members through its newsletter, critique program, scholarships, workshops, seminars, and demonstrations by today’s masters. This $1,000 award being given out by the OPA has recognized one ARC Salon Finalist that embodies the beliefs and goals of the OPA.
Gallery Awards
Gallery awards are given by participating galleries. Each gallery selected a group of approximately 15 finalists who supplied the gallery with additional images to help them make their decisions. From those finalists, the galleries have each chosen artists for a group exhibition and sale. Rehs Contemporary Galleries, Inc., New York City, NY and Arcadia Contemporary, Culver City, CA, will both be having an exhibition and sale for their selected winning artists in 2017 or early 2018. Each artist who participates will be completing a series of new works specifically for these shows. Rehs Contemporary Galleries, Inc. began as a new venture stemming from Rehs Galleries, Inc., which specializes in 19th and early 20th century European works of art. Following in suit with the art world they know best, Rehs Contemporary Galleries, Inc., represents contemporary artists that create original works in a traditional style; works that demonstrate an artist's superior technical skills and classical training. Arcadia Contemporary has held the highest standards for 21st century realist art. Ar・ca・di・a: - Noun - A Mythological Greek region frequently chosen as the background setting in works of fine art. A real or imaginary place offering peace and simplicity.
