The American Artists Professional League is pleased to present “Realism on the Hudson”, a small works exhibition showcasing stunning realist and representational artwork created by our talented members from across the country. One of the show’s unique features is collectors can take home their purchases immediately; a good option for tourists and visitors passing through. Artworks are also available for purchase through the AAPL Artwork Store. 

A large scale still life painting demonstration in oils will take place on March 22nd. Vasari Classic Artists’ Oil Colors is sponsoring this event, sharing tips on how to best use their pigments and selling their paints at 20% off of regular prices at the event. Art lovers and artists surely will not want to miss this event, free to the public.

Victors can participate in the Viewer's Choice Award by voting online for their favorite work at AAPLinc.org. The winning artist will receive Trois Crayons "The Old Master Drawings Board Game".

Realism on the Hudson takes place from March 1 - April 13, 2025 at Howland Cultural Center, 477 Main Street, Beacon, NY 12508. Live painting event & Vasari oil pigments demonstration Saturday March 22, 1-3 pm.

Three-Year Diploma Program Painting and Drawing

​FALL INTAKE - September 29, 2025 - June 5, 2026

HYBRID PROGRAM** - January 5 – July 31, 2026

WINTER INTENSIVE INTAKE* - February 2, 2026  - July 31, 2026

The students who successfully accomplish the Three-Year Diploma Program at the Florence Classical Arts Academy are awarded a private institutional diploma in Visual Arts of European standard. This course is an intensive highly customized and personalized sequences of progressive learning, where the student receives an applied knowledge training in small student groups. The course is suitable for people with the minimum of initial preparation since it is designed to take a student from zero to a hundred, providing the KNOWLEDGE, TECHNIQUE, and development of PERSONAL ARTISTIC STYLE and refined artistic taste. During the course of the three years, the students build the strongest PORTFOLIO which enables them to choose from a variety of career options such as illustration, animation, design, drawing in architecture, fashion design, and many other career paths in the world of Visual Arts. ​

*Winter Intensive Intake is the One-Year program which covers the same curriculum and the same amount of academic hours, but in a shorter and more compact time frame. During certain months, apart from normal daily classes, the student takes 3 evening classes per week included in the curriculum.

**Hybrid Program is the Foundation Year program split in two segments:

Online Segment (Self-Paced) 4 months: January through April

In-Person Segment 3 months (Intensive): May through July

All subjects are taught in English at the Florence Classical Arts Academy, 140 Via delle Panche, Firenze, Italy.
