Mark,
I know a few painters who supplement their fine art efforts by doing decorative type work. One of them does quite a bit of casino work in Las Vegas for a very prominent sign manufacturing company. I noticed that you did some sidewalk type art a while back ago?
I can get as much tree carving work as I want, unfortunately people almost always want some type of animal and they confuse chain saw carving with hand finished/chiseled pieces. The money is not bad, but the work is very physically demanding and the working conditions can be difficult to negotiate, i.e. working at heights with constantly changing light conditions. I only do this type of work when other work is lean as it keeps a chisel in my hand.
Regards,
Mike
