Notable solo exhibits include TheNew Jersey State Museum, Trenton, Johnson and Johnson Corporate HeadquartersGallery, New Brunswick, NJ and The New Jersey Center for Visual Arts, Summit,NJ. Notable group exhibits include a three person exhibit at The Jersey CityMuseum in the summer of 1999. Reviewing this exhibition for the New York Times,art critic, Holland Cotter described her work as \u0026ldquo;quietly impressive\u0026rdquo;. Othershows include a two person exhibit at The National Academy of Sciences inWashington, DC, and group exhibitions at Aljira, a center for contemporary Art,Newark NJ, William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ, Rutgers University, Newarkand MB Modern in New York City. In January 2001, Valeri Larko had her firstinternational exhibit at the Bruton Street Gallery in London, England.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp class=MsoNormal\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp class=MsoNormal\u003E\u003Cspan style=\u0027mso-tab-count:1\u0027\u003E \u003C/span\u003EIn the fallof 2000 Valeri Larko was awarded a major mural commission from New JerseyTransit and the New Jersey State Council on the arts for the Secaucus TransferStation. She painted four murals for their north mezzanine waiting room. Uponcompletion, which is scheduled for late in 2002, the Secaucus Transfer Stationwill be the largest train station in the state of New Jersey. Other honorsinclude an Artist in Residence fellowship at the Newark Museum, a New JerseyState Council on the Arts Fellowship Grant and several awards from the NationalAcademy of Design in New York City. Ms. Larko\u0026rsquo;s work is in the collections ofthe Montclair Museum, The New Jersey State Museum, Johnson and Johnson, RutgersUniversity and a number of other significant organizations.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp class=MsoNormal\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp class=MsoNormal\u003E\u003Cspan style=\u0027mso-tab-count:1\u0027\u003E \u003C/span\u003EEducated atthe Du Cret School of the Arts and the Arts Students League, Valeri now livesand works in Summit, New Jersey.
