He has dedicated himself exclusively to painting for over 15 years, much of which time working in his studio in Arequipa, where he has been able to evolve both his technique and his unique approach to painting. His learning is constant and draws primarily from the Old Masters and contemporary artists he admires, studying their works and understanding the processes involved in each one. His references have changed over the years in parallel with his artistic progression. Currently, they include Rembrandt, Micha\u00EBl Borremans, Nicola Samori, Vincent Desiderio, Odd Nerdrum, Golucho, and a long list of 19th-century realist and naturalist masters, such as Wilhelm Hammersh\u00F8i, Emile Friant, Abbott Handerson Thayer, Charles Frederic Ulrich, and others.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cbr\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThanks to collectors, galleries, museums, and competitions, his works have been seen in countries such as Japan, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Morocco, the United States, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. Particularly noteworthy are four of his drawings that are part of the collection of the MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) in Barcelona.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cbr\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe has won several international drawing and painting awards.
