{"Id":3315,"Name":"Jan Mytens","Biography":"As many of you know, ARC believes that there were several dozen masters from the last half of the 19th century, that were amongst the greatest in all of art history.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003ETheir names and works were suppressed for nearly 100 years.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EWe have concluded \u003Cstrong\u003Ethat an art establishment capable of passing over geniuses like Bouguereau, Alma-Tadema, Lord Leighton, Jean Francois Millet, Edward Coley Burne-Jones, Jean-L\u0026eacute;on G\u0026eacute;r\u0026ocirc;me, Jean George Vibert, Jules Lefebvre, and John William Waterhouse, certainly must also have missed many great artists from the centuries before that time\u003C/strong\u003E.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EOne such artist who we have only just discovered is \u003Cstrong\u003EJan Mytens. 17th Century Dutch, many of his portraits combine the poetic sensibilities of Van Dyck, with the technical magic often found in Joshua Reynolds, Gainsborough or Thomas Lawrence.\u003C/strong\u003E Some of his works also remind us of Sir Peter Lely, but even better.
