I believe everyone has to dedicate their lives to mastering something they love so that it can be shared and taught to the world and not become lost in the past.

I have always been fascinated by traditional realism art. I plan to commit my life to drawing, oil painting, and sculpture. I am currently attending the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts focusing on drawing my first year. My schedule consists of drawing for 5 days a week from life and casts. I have one sculpture class a week. Learning to better my understanding of changing light and its effect on form, plains, and angles to help show light in drawings. My second year at LAFA will focus on painting and third year will be sculpture. The last year at LAFA I plan on going more in-depth into making master copies.

Over the past few summers I have worked with a jeweler learning old school techniques of working with jewelry and metal. I plan on studying fine art and am going to use what I have learned to create a lifestyle surrounded with art. My end goal is to make and teach art. It is very important to have accomplished art teachers who are artists themselves. I have had some amazing teachers and know first hand how life changing it is to have an art teacher who has so much passion for art that they inspire everyone of their students. I hope to inspire and learn from my students when I teach.
