My Long Term Educational and Career Goals
I’ve always been inclined towards traditional art and realism. Going through my father’s art books and strolling through the hallways of the Kunsthistorisches Museum cemented my wish to become a painter.
It was quite challenging to find education systems in Austria that taught the technical skills I wished to learn. Nevertheless, after some time, I came across several artists online who seemed to be doing what I always wanted to do.
I did some research and subsequently enrolled in the core programme at Angel Academy in 2017 to learn the fundamentals of painting. After graduating from there I joined Cecil studios, where I am currently doing my post graduate studies. Here I get to fully focus on portrait painting, the challenge and beauty of it has always mesmerised me.
I’m very happy and thankful for all of the knowledge I’ve gained so far. In the pursuit of finding my own artistic voice I wish to continue learning and experiencing as much as I can.
My biggest wish for the future would be to be able to work as a freelance artist. I would like to work on commissions and my own compositions in my studio. But I can also imagine myself teaching students the different techniques and skills I’ve gained in Florence and try to spread the knowledge of traditional art and realism.
I believe the comprehensive education I received at Cecil Studios and Angel Academy equipped me well with skills and confidence for my future in the art world.
