I came across the site and the section on J. F. Slater. I thought you may be interested in the following information.
J.F. Slater was a personal friend of my Grandfather F.W. REAVELEY. They were founder members of the same art club in Cullercoats. The painting displayed of Cullercoats was painted less than 5 mins walk form J.F. Slater's home in Cullercoats.
I have a watercolour portrait of J.F. Slater done by my Grand father and this can be viewed on our website dedicated to the memory of F. W. REAVELEY: fwreaveley.org.co.uk. I thought you may be interested in this as you have a section on the man himself.
We know that several of REAVELEY's paintings are now in America and who knows there may be a few more for us to find yet.
I very much enjoyed looking at the painting of Cullercoats where I know that John Falconer and my grandfather painted together alot of the time.
Your faithfully
Mrs Lilian Fraser née REAVELEY
