Jan van Eyck

From Bruce Attah

Published before 2005

I think van Eyck's drapery and posture look a bit stiffer than do those of some of his peers, but his faces are the most real, with only Rogier van Der Weyden touching him. The Ghent Altarpiece contains some stunningly vivid portraits, and van Der Weyden's Deposition contains some pretty good portraits, too.
