Hockney the Hackneyed

Sure "the Old Masters used the early technology of optics and kept it secret." Hundreds of artist collaborated and kept it a secret and burned all the instruments just prior to dying. ;-)

But, how do you keep thousand and thousands of models (people) standing in front of these so called optical devices from talking about it? . ;-)

They must have all signed a non-disclosure agreement. ;-)
