WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This workshop is intended for participants with little to no knowledge. Even if you don't yet know whether drawing is really for you, but you've always wanted to give it a try, this is the right place for you.

Drawing is the absolute foundation for everything in art. We therefore recommend everyone to expand and deepen their drawing skills. This workshop is the perfect way to get started with drawing. Our professional teachers from the Academy of Fine Art Germany will introduce you to drawing step by step. You will get to know the materials in detail, including, for example, how to sharpen pencils correctly, how to hold them while drawing and which degree of hardness to use for which purpose.

The second important topic of the workshop is how to transfer proportions correctly. You will be taught measuring methods that will give you confidence and accuracy when drawing. The methods we work with can also be used safely after the workshop for anything you want to draw. Even in painting, portraits or landscapes, they offer you a basic concept for achieving your "artistic goal".

The third focus is on light and shadow. To create three-dimensionality, you work with different shades. To do this, you need to understand exactly how light and shadow behave on the object, composition or person. Once you have understood this correctly, you will notice that your work will have much more depth and a realistic effect.

 

Info/Period

5-day workshop with 30 lessons. Lessons take place from Monday to Friday from 09:30 - 16:30. There is a lunch break from 12:30 - 13:30. The workshop is taught in German and/or English. We will enquire about your language skills for this.

 

Materials

We need drawing materials for this workshop. This includes paper, charcoal, kneaded eraser, etc. Before the workshop starts, you will receive a list of materials so that you can get everything you need. If you don't want to take care of this, you can also simply order our drawing starter set and receive all the materials you need on the day of your workshop.
