Skill-Based Art Video Interview

Skill-Based Art: A Learning Resource for Art Students & Artist-Teachers has recently republished a video interview with painter, Michael Coyle, which took place in 1993. In the interview, Michael articulates the operations of Atelier LeSueur, a former Minnesotan studio-school which was patterned after the 19th century model. Rare footage of students working in the atelier is shown while Mr. Coyle describes the process of training and the rate of student development within the rigorous curriculum.
