V & A Museum - The Cult of Beauty Exhibition

June 30, 2011

cult of beauty The Victoria and Albert Museum is currently running an exhibition featuring works by Frederick Lord Leighton, Joseph Albert Moore, James Tissot, Edward Burne-Jones, and Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema. The exhibition is titled The Cult of Beauty: The Aesthetic Movement 1860-1900, but it includes many works that are by the Pre-Raphaelites as well.
Although the exhibition confuses the two movements into one, it is still a fabulous exhibition of some of the greatest paintings of the period.

It is open daily from 10am – 5:45pm and on Fridays from 10am – 10pm. The show closes on July 17th, 2011 so if you are in the London area, make plans to see it now.
