June 9, 2008
ARC Approved Atelier, Long Island Academy of Fine Art with locations in both Riverhead and Oyster Bay, has recently affiliated the ARC Approved Atelier, The New York Academy of Art, to offer landscape-painting classes in the Hamptons, Long Island, NY. The New York Academy of Art, located in Manhattan's TriBeCa district, is a not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to the advancement of figurative painting, sculpture, and drawing, and is the first graduate school in the United States devoted exclusively to the human figure. The NYAAs distinguished faculty has historically included many of the nations most respected artists; among them today is LIAFAs own founder and director, Robert Armetta. Mr. Armetta, a graduate of the NYAA, has been teaching there for three years in addition to his classes at LIAFA, which he expanded in November of 2007 due to an increasing demand for classical studies on Long Island. Starting on June 14th, the New York Academy of Art, in conjunction with the Long Island Academy of Fine Art will offer Landscape Painting in the Hamptons; courses taught by LIAFAs staff of professional artists.
