BIOGRAPHY
Antonios Aspromourgos maintains studios in San Diego, California and Athens, Greece. Born of Greek parents in West Berlin, Germany, Antonios was educated in Greece, graduating from the AKTO School of Fine Arts. He began his career as a graphic designer and became the Art Director at several high-profile magazines and publishing houses (Vogue – Liberis Publications, Nitro / Downtown – IMAKO). For the past 12 years, he has been working in several fields, freelancing in illustration, graphic design, painting, and education. He has specialized in fashion, children’s books, cover art and character illustration, mastering several different techniques (watercolour, ink, acrylic, oil and digital).
Antonios’ work has been exhibited in magazines (Vogue, Status, Life & Style, Mirror, Madame Figaro, Playboy, Nitro, Lipstick, Marie Claire, FHM, Free), books (Eugene Trivizas, Christoph Galfard, Viky Kayia, Christina Politi), compact digital discs (Heaven Records, FM Records), television (Mega Channel), large-scale banners (National Book Center Of Greece) and special presentations (Eugenides Foundation and Olympic Airways). As an educator, Antonios has taught courses in color theory, drawing, fashion design and children’s book illustration at Athens College.

2009 - Following an exhibition there, the Eugenides Foundation acquired 15 of his celestial paintings for the permanent collection of the Athens Planetarium.
