Canada

Biography

Lisa Keay (b.1976) is a Canadian figurative painter currently residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Largely self taught, Lisa was introduced to painting by professional artist Judith Luke Ingraham, and continued her studies at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
Along with studies in painting, Lisa’s interests extend to Alchemy, geometry and philosophy, the symbolisms of which find their way into the paintings, lending them a certain balance that resonates with the meaning and beauty of the work.

Lisa is currently exhibiting at the MEAM museum in Barcelona, Spain in the “Painting Today” exhibition, and she was included in Lorena Kloosterboer’s article in Beautiful Bizarre Magazine for the event.
She has also been published in PoetsArtists magazine, and has recently received a Boldbrush award, and has twice placed in the American Portrait Society’s Members competition.
