Linda Dulaney

United States

Linda Dulaney, Founder of BACAA, is a lifelong artist who manifested her desire to bring a school to life in the San Francisco Bay Area, based on the ateliers of the Renaissance and old masters. Starting in the mid 1990s, Linda developed a clear understanding of the style and type of instruction she wanted in an atelier. In 2001, Linda hosted the first workshop with Anthony Ryder in the San Francisco Bay Area. This grew into the Bay Area Classical Artist Atelier providing a unique blend of classical art classes and workshops focused on the use of live models and natural light. BACAA hosts the best Contemporary Classical Artists of our time for these intensive workshops and continues the traditional classical approach to drawing and painting. Linda’s most influential teachers were Tony Ryder, Ted Seth Jacobs and Michael Grimaldi.

Linda teaches at BACAA the daytime classes for students of all levels of experience. Her inspiration is to teach her students to discover the fascinating human structure and form. She is passionate and committed to teaching her students to see the beauty that is conveyed working from natural light and live model. She is relentless in furthering the students skills to develop their artwork from life. Her inspiration is to teach her students to discover the fascinating human structure and form.
