Founder and CEO of BlueEaselClub.com, Carol Peebles works to continue the tradition of classical realist life drawing through her Atelier classes and commissions. Carol’s work focuses on pastel portraits and figures, drawn from life, to celebrate the people in her immediate environment. Past international and national exhibitions include: The Butler Institute of American Art; The International Association of Pastel Societies at the Salmagundi Club, NYC; The Pastel Society of America at the National Arts Club, NYC; The Ogden Museum, among others. Carol’s works have been published in North Light books: Strokes of Genius 11:Finding Beauty, Strokes of Genius 6: The Best of Drawing, and Art Journey: Portraits and Figures, The Best of Contemporary Drawing. Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, she has instructed at Studio Incamminati, PA; The Pastel Society of America at the National Arts Club, NYC; Louisiana State University, The University of New Orleans, Pennsylvania State University and currently teaches at The New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts, and her drawing Atelier, BlueEaselClub.com. A New Orleans native, she received her MFA from Penn State University, BA from the University of New Orleans, but attributes her learning of classical realism to Master painter Auseklis Ozols, Director of the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.
