Jon Swihart

 Jon Swihart has been a vital part of the Los Angeles art scene for over 30 years. He is well known for his intimate figurative paintings, as well as his formal portraits, which include American presidents, Supreme Court Justices, astronauts, sports figures and Hollywood notables. Swihart is a huge fan of the 19th Century French artist Jean Leon Gerome and has used the model of the French Academy, both to teach himself how to paint and as a foundation for his own artistic expression.
