After a 38-year career in education, Karen Budan turned her focus to her lifelong interest in art in 2007. Since that time, Karen’s contemporary still life pastel and oil paintings have been shown in numerous juried and invitational exhibitions across the United States as well as solo gallery shows. Her work has been featured in The Pastel Journal, Professional Artist, Southwest Art, and American Art Collector. She is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, the Pastel Society of America, the Arizona Pastel Artists Association as well as a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies’ Master Circle. Karen is also a juried member of the International Guild of Realism. Park Gallery, Carmel, CA and Artqwest Gallery, Scottsdale, AZ currently represent Karen.
