Julie Webb

Born in Concord, CA in 1985, Julie Loren Webb moved with her family to Columbus, OH, where her time was divided between the bleak, working-class suburbs and the magical nature of her uncle’s farm. Julie's childhood travels to Southern California and Mexico cultivated her obsession with color, texture, and light; sparking her artistic journey at the Columbus College of Art and Design. After settling in Portland, OR in 1997, Julie's teachers encouraged her to forego the traditional high school option and instead pursue education in painting at Arts and Communication Magnet Academy. Julie earned multiple honors and upon graduating in 2003, was awarded a Certificate of Mastery of Fine Art. Being a full-time art model afforded her insight as to the practices of professional artists while she worked toward her degree. Julie earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Liberal Arts: Painting from Portland State University in 2014. Desiring a more rigorous approach, she moved to Philadelphia, PA in 2016 to continue her artistic training in the Advanced Fine Art Program at Studio Incamminati. Julie currently lives and works in Philadelphia.
