ARINA GORDIENKO is a contemporary realism artist best known for her large figurative paintings.

She was born in the most north-easterly region of Russia, in a small gold-mining settlement in Chukotka, part of the polar Arctic desert ‘tundra’. Since 2005 she lives in the UK. She has graduated with MA (Fine Art, Painting) at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, also has got BA (Fine Art) at the famous Central Saint Martins College of Art in London, also studied at Art School in Russia (Distinction Certificate).

She is recognised with numerous international prizes and awards in the UK, USA and Europe. Her paintings featured at Saatchi Gallery in London (UK), MEAM - European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona (Spain), Museum of Fantastic Art in Vienna (Austria), Museum of Modern Art Vittoria Colonna in Pescara (Italy), Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art in the US, Rehs Contemporary Galleries in New York (USA), Mall Galleries in London and many others in the UK, USA, Australia, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Check Republic, Belgium and India.

Her paintings published in many art books, catalogues and magazines, including the ‘Strokes of Genius’ Art Books (Edition 4 & 6) in the US, the MEAM ‘Painting Today’ catalogue in Barcelona, Spain, the ‘Figurative Realism’ Special Issue of the PoetsArtists Magazine in the US, the Reinhard Fuchs’ art book ‘Masterpieces of Visual Arts - The Great Female Artists from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era’, the ‘Masters of Contemporary Fine Art’ and ‘Masters of Painting’ in the UK.

Arina is an Associate Living Master of the prestigious Art Renewal Center in the US, a member of Portrait Society of America, a selected member of Society of Women Artists in the UK and a member of PoetsArtists Assosiation founded by Didi Menendez, USA.

Arina is passionately dedicated to renaissance of realistic traditions in painting and widely proclaims revival of beauty in art. She developed her own recognisable style combining traditional classical techniques with realistic yet imaginative (often surreal) compositions and contemporary palette.
