Studies for the technique of realism oil painting at Grand central atelier, New York and at DMP atelier in Austin, Texas
In my work, I reconsider the controverse question of mimesis, traditionally related closely to realism art. My picture language consists in the false pretense that my paintings copy nature. The subject matter of my painting has been designed entirely in digital medium on the base of hundrets of pictures I took out in the fields. I then paint the whole composition in oil paint. To fulfill my artistic goal, I create a paradoxon by taking advantage of a false pretense lying in realism art: that it is coping nature.
