Miguel del Rey Vergara is a figurative artist who was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. Miguel is a graduate from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and he continued his studies in New York at the Art Students League.
Miguel has been practicing and teaching art in New York since 2015. His artwork has been widely exhibited in New York and internationally. Miguel was awarded the prestigious Ann & Bruno Luchesi grant for his merits in the field of Figurative Sculpture, and was honored to be selected as a semi-finalist out of thousands of submissions for the Outwin-Boochever Portrait Competition hosted by the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.
He is currently represented by Kitano Alley Gallery.
