She was born Bartin city of Turkey. She completed her undergraduate degree in Arts. After graduation she was interested in fashion design and worked as a stylist. And then worked on hand made decorations in her own ceramic workshop . In 1989 she began working as an Art teacher in high school, after 20 years she retired. Rukiye Garip has been working in her own studio for 4 years, in Balıkesir. She also teaches the students of various age groups in this workshop studio. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions with her paintings of various techniques. The artist works on all painting techniques but prefers watercolor most. Because she thinks that transparency and lights of watercolor reflect the beauty of nature better. She is more interested in watercolor technique last four years.
