任保海，中国河北省唐山市人。河北省美术家协会会员。钢笔连环画作品曾多次在《中国连环画》、《连环画报》等国家级刊物上发表。从2013年开始专注于写实钢笔画的创作。
2016年11月写实钢笔画《非洲白犀牛》和《雪匿银狐》两幅作品入选第十二届ARC艺术复兴中心国际艺术沙龙展，其中作品《非洲白犀牛》荣获银奖。
2017年6月连环画作品《幸福在哪里》荣获由人民美术出版社主办的“东升杯”全国连环画大赛创作类三等奖。
