Chris Manwaring

United States

As a young boy one of Chris Manwaring‘s neighbors walked into their home and noticed a painting on the wall. He asked who had done the painting? Chris replied that he had and as a 17-year-old he was invited to artist Valoy Eaton’s home. This was the beginning of Chris’ journey in becoming a trained artist. Valoy showed him the greats, John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla, and Anders Zorn. From this point Chris would study privately with professional artists and even take classes at institutions like the Grand Central Academy of art. Chris is very grateful for and attributes his drawing ability to Colleen Barry who taught him classical drawing. Chris lives and works in Utah and is represented by galleries in the western United States. He is also represented in private and corporate collections internationally.
