Olivera Pudar studied painting at the University of Arts, Belgrade, International School of Art, Montecastello, Italy, and Yale School of Art, New Haven. Her awards include the Rista & Beta Vukanovic prize for painting, Neimar Award for mosaic, the Elizabeth Greenshields Grant (2005 and 2008), and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. She was named Illinois Artist of the Year 2012 by Exploring TOSCA magazine. Her painting was the subject of an article by Dr. John T. Spike in Art & Antiques, “Closer Look: Memory Palace: Olivera Pudar”. Most recently, she received ARC’s Collections Magazine Award for her painting “Voyage in G Minor” at the 13th Annual Art Renewals Center Salon. Her works were featured at the Art Project Gallery in Oak Park, Illinois, and can be seen on her website www.oliverapudar.com.
