Jennifer has been studying with Brian O’Neill in his Rochester, NY studio as an apprentice in an academic realism program since July 2017. She is a 1993 graduate of Cornell University and a 1997 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Following a year internship in Boston she returned to Philadelphia for a residency in Radiology at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
With her career as a veterinary radiologist firmly established, Jennifer made time to develop her artistic side which had been on hold to achieve her academic pursuits. The impulse to sketch the animals in her life lead to experimenting with water color and expansion of subject matter into landscapes and floral still life. Studying objective realism with Brian O’Neill has been a life changing experience restoring healthy work life balance.
