California born Cheryl Kline has made an impact on the art world with her large landscapes of the sky. Influenced by Turner and Hudson River shool artists, Kline found her own way of of describing what she calls "Operas in the sky." The series bgan 20 years ago as her way of celebrating the millennium. In the meantime her studies in classical art with Jan Saether at Bruchion School of Realist Art and at the Florence Academy of art helped her to hone her skills as a portrait artist creating thought provoking portraits of everyday people. Her Book "A Treatise on Portrait Painting" was published in 2015. Kline is the founder and director of Kline Academy of Fine Art in Los Angeles which she established in 2007 building the academy to 200 students per month and internation and nationally accalaimed instructors.
