Mason Kang

I was born and grown up in the Republic of Korea (South Korea), obtained a BS Degree in Chemistry Education in Korea and earned an MFA in painting from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, USA. I retired from working in the petroleum/ oil & gas/ construction industries after 35 years of service and finally have made my dream come true by obtaining the MFA in 2016. I like scenes of nature with harmonious light and shadows. Because of joining the fine art Study Abroad program to Florence, Italy in 2015, I also gained plenty of experience with plein air painting there as well. I have been awarded or listed as a Finalist in various renowned international painting competitions. Recently I have been honorably selected as one of the Featured Artists of both Manhattan Arts International and the Artsy Shark Online Gallery. I sincerely hope my works can ultimately present viewers with a sublime sense of warmth, happiness, and contentment.
