b. 1961

In the 1980’s and 1990’s Debra Keirce was a biochemical engineer. Debra pursued a self-directed art education in earnest. In 2010, she turned her passion for painting classical realism into a full time career. Keirce’s tightly rendered oil and acrylic paintings often include references to her engineering past.

Debra’s work has been featured in numerous print publications, solo and group exhibitions. WaterWorks Art Museum, Yellowstone Art Museum, Customs House Museum, Perigord Retreats in France, and Amazon Web Services have her work in their permanent collections.

Part of Debra’s process involves the use of magnifiers and close range binoculars. She enjoys demonstrating her techniques. Her pieces are from 2 inches to 4 feet tall. As a signature member of several national and international societies, Keirce is eager to share her knowledge through teaching and also as an exhibition judge. She is a champion of the “true miniature” fine art genre.
