Diane Turner

United States

Diane Turner is an American figurative realist painter living and working in a studio on her farm located in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Currently she is best known for paintings of multiple figures in natural settings based on local environmental features. Her subjects and settings are rendered with a careful control of medium and attention to detail. This creates a strong connection between the subjects and their natural worlds. After graduating magna cum laude from the Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Philadelphia with a BFA degree and receiving The Art Director's Club of Philadelphia's Gold Medal for her senior portfolio, she began an over thirty year freelancing career. She specialized in product design concept art as well as illustration for the collectibles industry. While working in the corporate world she continued to pursue her artistic passion by painting independent works. Deciding later to concentrate entirely on fine art, she started painting full-time in 2007. She has exhibited and received awards in many local, statewide and international juried shows.
